The Outsiders

Dear Mr Jeremy:

This book ‘‘The Outsiders’’ we read is written by S.E Hinton she start to write this book when she was 14 years old, this book is a genre adult fiction book, I think this book was written with the purpose of racism that can show us can do it to many people do it.

The most important characters are Ponyboy, is a 14 year old "greaser", which is the term used to describe poor and wild people, He is a nice pacific guy, with light brown, and grey-green eyes.
Soda, is a cool, handsome, reasonable person, and he is the only person Ponyboy loves, he is 16 years old, he is the middle of the 3 brothers. He has dark eyes.
Darry is tough cold and "mean" with Ponyboy, 21 year old , he is the oldest brother and need to take care or Ponyboy and soda since their parents died in a car crash. The other 4 friends are Two-Bit, which is the oldest proud of his sideburns, and likes blondes, fights and oddly school. Steve, 17 years old, Soda's best friend (hates Ponyboy). Dally, is the "leader", and has been jailed a couple of times and Johnny is 16 years old, but appears to be 14.

This story talks about 3 brother Ponyboy, Soda and Darry, they are divided in 2 groups, The Greaser named that way because of their greasy hair and the Socs, Greasers are kind of poor people and Socs have better education, more money and even cars.

One day Johnny and Ponyboy where attacked by 5 drunks Socs, so Johnny want to defend Ponyboy, he killed one guy and the other 4 run away, after that they noticed that a church is burning and there are a lot of kids inside, so they save them but there a problem with Johnny, he burn,Socs were angry, so they want to fight so then Ponyboy went and dally joined him, They won the fights, Return for Johnny and he was dead, Dally was crazy so the police out of control kill him.

Soda
is sixteen -going on- seventeen
he understands everything almost
he's always happy-go-lucky and grinning
is handsomer than anyone else I know
He’s not as tall as Darry
soda always takes up for me
his eyes are dark brown

Darry
works too long and hard
Darry's hard and firm and rarely grins at all
thinks his life is enough without inspecting other people’s
is six-feet-two and broad-shouldered and muscular
He has dark-brown hair that kicks out in front and a slight cowlick in the back
He’s got eyes that are like two pieces of pale blue-green ice.
he looks older than twenty-tough, cool, and smart
he uses his head

Pony boy
I don’t use my head
light-brown almost red hair
I’m supposed to be smart, I get goo grades and have a high IQ
I’m usually pretty quiet around people, even the gang
My hair is squared-off the back and long in the front
I am 14 years old
I’m the youngest brother
I love soda even more than mom and dad
I would have preferred them to be gray, I usually hate people with green eyes

Johnny Cade
Johnny Cade was last and least.
He was the youngest
He was smaller than the rest, with a slight build.
He had big black eyes in the dark tanned face.
His hair was jet.black and heavily greased and combed to the side.
It was so long that it fell in shaggy
He had a nervous, suspicious look in his eyes.
he was gangs pet, everyones kid brother.
His father was always was beating him up, and his mother ignored him.

  1. Alex;

Slow down and correctly copy the author´s words. You need to pay attention to how writers build sentences.

    Thanks, Jeremy

  2. Hey Alex;

This is quite good. You seem to be concentrating more when you write. Good job on this book summary.

Based on the writing in your book summary, you are meeting expectations (3) in text understanding, clarity of expression and use of writing conventions. You show an adequate understanding of the text, use language adequately to communicate ideas and your use of conventions makes your response mostly understandable.
    Keep up the good work!

  3. Based on the writing you wrote, just like Mr. jeremy said, you have a good writer but in your word choice, you could better it.
